Suki-Nori is Florida’s first handroll bar offering guest a unique handroll experience in the heart of the Oviedo on the park. Fresh fish, sustainably, locally sourced.
The client wanted a brand identity that would feel modern and cool, with an underground vibe, staying away from the traditional sushi branding styles. In this sense, my design inspiration was japanese vintage cinema, the sumi-e painting technique and the perfection of the sushi making technique, creating a handmade symbol of rice and a fish tail with loose, brush-like strokes, on a rectangular nori foil.
To balance the hand-drawn symbol, the other branding elements are all ultra minimal and geometric.
